Riders with road bikes have nothing to fear as we don’t ride on any dirt roads, allowing riders with all kinds of bikes to join us.
This is mainly a touring ride and not a fast-paced ride as the roads in Lesotho are live and it is not unusual to find sheep and cattle in the roads there.
We stay at the magnificent Afriski Mountain Lodge for the duration of the stay while we are in Lesotho. This is one trip you don’t want to miss.
Arrive at Die Plaas Stoep in Fouriesburg from 12H00. Here we will do the sign on and final documentation for the tour. After signing on and lunch we head out to the Caledonspoort Border Control into Lesotho. From there we ride towards Afriski Mountain Lodge. Before getting to the resort we stop at a viewpoint and stop at New Ox Bow Lodge for a optional Maluti Beer (Lesotho’s local beer) Afriski is only 10kms further, once at Afriski we allocate all the guests their rooms for the duration of the stay. Once everyone is settled and freshened up, we have dinner at the Sky Restaurant (highest restaurant in Africa at 3222m above sea level) on the resort.
After a breakfast that is served from 07h30, we start gearing up at 08H45 to depart for Sani Mountain Restaurant. We let riders go about 30 seconds apart as the road is live (with cattle, goats and donkeys). We want to emphasis that this is a touring ride as it is extremely scenic. Once on the road our SuperBike Magazine vehicle will drive ahead to the only fuel stop, once there our staff will help you fill up you bike. From there we continue to Sani Mountain Restaurant where we have lunch. There is an option for our adventurous riders to go halfway down and back up Sani pass. After lunch we head back to Afriski.
Once our guests have had time to relax and freshen up we have dinner followed by an evening of entertainment with a band that we take with.
After a breakfast we head towards Clarens and later everyone makes their own way home.
